Ray J – I Hit It First ft. Bobby Brackins (Official Video)
Writing these kind of posts always twists my gut a bit. On the one hand, it’s an interesting story full of twists and turns that offers plenty of entertainment value. On the other hand, writing about these twists is exactly what Ray J was hoping critics, fans, and bloggers would do in the face of the song’s release. Am I highlighting the industry’s faults or simply feeding its ever-present need for attention and willingness to do whatever it takes to get a name in print? With stories like this, it’s hard to know. Anyway, check out the video below and the Kim Kardashian look alike.

50 Cent – We Up ft. Kendrick Lamar (Official Video)
50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar debut the official music video for “We Up”, the new single from 50′s Street King Immortal which is due out sometime this summer. Watch as 50 and Kendrick enjoy some of the finer things in life, all while showcasing their rhyme capabilities over a smooth instrumental. The previous visual for this track featured Kidd Kidd, who was later removed. Sucks to suck sometimes.

Dillon Francis – Drunk All The Time [UMF 2013]
In typical fashion, Dillon Francis threw down a very diverse, high energy set during his slot at the first weekend of Ultra Music Festival 2013. Notably included in this set was an unreleased song, ironically believed to be called “Drunk All The Time”. With a rhythmic, fat bass and pleasant, harmonic vocals, it’s yet another example of how no one gets a crowd hyped quite like Dillon Francis. We can only hope to hear this jam during his March 23 set for the second weekend of Ultra Music Festival 2013.

Speaking only of the truth using an impressive set of lyrical punch lines and jabs, “Hear Me” also serves as the first release off his upcoming project entitled The Double Bind, which is due out later this year. Drake – Started From The Bottom (Feature Cuts Remix)
0For every person complaining Drake’s new single “Started From The Bottom” was extremely boring and shitty, I still don’t understand you, BUT, luckily Feature Cuts is here to flip it into an insane dubstep banger! Feature Cuts had this to say about his journey thus far…
It’s been a little over a year now, and what a crazy trip this has been thus far. Sometimes I am overwhelmed with the reality that I live. However, at the end of the day I just take some time to remember what it was like when I first started. I truly hope that everyone who pursues their dreams may achieve them. Struggles make the reward sweeter. There’s still a ways to go, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

2As apart of the homies over at BarrelHouseBKLYN’s new series, The Vintage Collection – A treasure chest full of unreleased footage from the archives that BHBK’s Slick Jackson has filmed over the years – here we have Joey Bada$$, Capital STEEZ & CJ Fly doing an “Impromptu Freestyle” in December 2011 before Joey dropped his critically acclaimed 1999 mixtape. RIP Capital STEEZ.
In regards to the second video, it is no secret Joey Bada$$ is inspired by ’90′s golden era hip-hop. 1999 (via Cinematic Music Group) showcased his love for the decade and the legends it spawned. When Green Label Sound heard about Joey’s admiration for the legendary DJ Premier, they couldn’t pass up getting these two together for a track.
