The L.A. Leakers premiered the all-star remix version of “Hello Love”, the latest single from YMCMB rookie T.RONE. Although this remix feels forced (and probably was), it’ll most likely serve it’s purpose in the mainstream hip hop market.

For something a little different, Lil Wayne drops a new record called “Awkward”, produced by Jahlil Beats and Key Wane. This track will live on DJ Stevie J’sThe Appreciation Vol. 5: Holiday Edition. Just because this is a mixtape track, don’t expect to hear the “Mixtape Weezy” on this one. Lil Tunechi is doing some off key singing on this and, well, the description matches the song.
Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being 2 is scheduled to drop on February 19th, 2013 after tons of pus backs. Get a listen to the new record “Awkward” down below and have some appreciation for the dedication.

Young Money’s most active emcee continues to keep the new music flowing. After only a short promotional period, Tyga dropped 187 for the world to hear. This release serves as the rapper’s final mixtape of 2012, and caps off what can only be described as a year of progress. He’s headlined two large scale tours, held the number one spot with “Rack City”, and likely released more than double the amount of music your favorite artist did (for free, no less). 187 features 8 new tracks, and should go a long way towards keeping fans satisfied until Hotel California arrives in March 2013. You can stream and download the mixtape below.

Tip’s still looking for the magic single to send the anticipation for Trouble Man through the roof. Now, hip hop’s coolest dad links up with long-time collaborator, Lil Wayne, for the New Orleans bounce music-inspired, “Ball”. Drawing inspiration from The Showboy’s“Drag Rap (Triggerman)” – a record Wayne is already familiar with– Clifford’s version has a several different updates instrumentation-wise with all credit/blame falling in the laps of Rico Love and Earl & E. Trouble Man hits shelves exactly a week before Christmas (December 18th).
Granted, it was hardly a super lyrical joint, but Dom Kennedy’s“My Type Of Party” was a certified hit, which is why you knew a big-name remix was coming sooner or later. Enter gate-crashers, Young Money and Taylor Gang’s equally-as-ratchet Tyga and Juicy J. The three mesh well over the dizzying groove, making us kind of hope that they drink and smoke up together for real sometime. “My Type Of Party” originally featured on Dom’s Yellow Album, but this refix comes courtesy of OPM’sYoung Nation compilation.

This morning, Diplo dropped us this new Young Money collab featuring Chris Brown. Not exactly sure where this will end up, but it’s definitely dope. Big ups, yet again, to Diplo for being one of the most versatile producers on the planet.

Finally got a chance to listen to this tape and, well, if you’re looking for groundbreaking, this is not that. Basically, the YMCMB sophomore has delivered 16 new tracks that are either speaking on smashing your chick, baking cake, or some combination of the two. Still – in the midst of a career-year, T-Raw is at least good for some solid guest spots from the likes of Game, 2 Chainz and Kirko Bangz, as well as a slew of timely bangers by DJ Mustard.
With “Kiss The Ring” right on the horizon, Funkmaster Flex (like usual) got the go-ahead to premier three new tracks off the album. Throughout the next hour we will release two of the three in anticipation for the full album stream by tomorrow morning. Both have tags for now, but will be updated as the CDQ versions come out. This record embodies all that has been the “2012 hip hop scene”, so take it for what it is. If nothing else, it’s quite impressive to see how consistently DJ Khaled is able to secure features for his records. Enjoy!

Trey Songz drops us one of the singles to his upcoming album, “Chapter V” featuring Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne. This one’s definitely one of those tracks Trey stepped back on so Jeezy and Weezy could lay down some dope verses for the album. “Chapter V” drops August 21.

Though the wait for Bronx-born emcee Cory Gunz’ debut album is starting to become quite the lengthy one, the (still) young emcee continues to keep fans on their feet with a series of street releases. Joining Gunz’ arsenal of street records is the newly released, araabMUZIK-produced “Stacks On Deck”. Gunz’ aggressive lyricism on the un-originally-titled song lasts from start to finish as he heartily boasts about “stacks on deck”, his “strap on deck”, and last but certainly not least the “trap on deck”. While araabMUZIK’s production on the record begins by sounding like the score to a slasher flick it eventually transforms into a much more hip-hop heavy beat. Although Stacks On Deck isn’t attached to any larger project from Gunz, be on the lookout for new music in the near future.
