Cocaine 80s – A Ketchup Post
0
The collective known as Cocaine 80s consisting of powerhouses such as No I.D., Common, Steve Wyreman, Rob Kinelski, Kevin Randolph, James Fauntleroy, Makeba and others has put out some of the most intricate and soulful hip-hop/R&B music that I’ve heard in a real long time. It’s the kinda stuff that could possibly hold a candle to J Dilla and Kanye while they were in their respective primes. For those of you who have never had the privilege of hearing these guys, here’s the Ketchup Post to make sure you’re filled in on all the major touchstones of their work.
