Pierce Fulton

Listen: Pierce Fulton – Runaways EP

One of the things I really enjoy about Pierce Fulton is his ability to consistently create music that is pleasant to listen to and full of enough energy for the club all at once. His tracks are dotted by all sorts of quirky tones and chords but it is uniquely Pierce Fulton’s and in a market where success seems to be attained by who can copycat the successful sound of the moment best, his music comes as a refreshing change of pace. Assorted links are below and be sure to grab the track on Beatport if you support!!

Mutemath – In No Time (Pierce Fulton Remix)

Wow. I’m not sure there’s another producer that toes the line between what we consider to be EDM and what used to be called electronica quite like Pierce Fulton does. While still able to crank out A+ club tracks at will, he is never afraid to take that tempo down and make something a la The Postal Service like his two tracks he released randomly back in May. This particular remix has me rather awe-struck or possibly just speechless…neither are a bad thing anyway.

Usher – Scream (Pierce Fulton, Project 46 & R3hab Remixes)

The official remix package for the Diplo produced Usher single Scream has come with some big names on the bill including Pierce Fulton, R3hab & Project 46. They all maintain a generally progressive feel although R3hab brings some serious energy to the mix while Pierce Fulton opts for a more stripped down delicate sound that grows into a full blown anthem. All three of these are primed for spots across the biggest clubs but you can just grab the downloads for your own personal ragers.

It’s got a full hour of great ambient tracks including some original mixes from Pierce as well as some gems that I’ve never heard before. House – Gotye & Kimbra – Somebody That I Used To Know (Tiesto Remix)

This progressive styled remix of Gotye & Kimbra’s Somebody That I Used To Know is by far the best remix of the track I’ve heard to date. With what I can only describe to be a combination of Pierce Fulton, Pixel Cheese and Avicii’s best elements, Tiesto absolutely destroys this track and ensures the fact that this will be played out at maximum volume all summer. Enjoy!

House – Pierce Fulton – March 2012 Mix

Pierce Fulton has one of the most unique sounds in EDM right now and his March 2012 mixtape shows his unconventional tastes in a beautiful hour long session. The driving opening song Irminsul, Le Pilier Du Monde sets the tone for this eclectic mix of tracks blended together by the boy from America who gained his notoriety in Europe first. A lot of real good songs buried in this so give it a listen and find your favorites!

Enjoy!

House – Pierce Fulton – Who Wants Spaghetti

I’d like to introduce you all to Pierce Fulton. He is a 19 year old college student from Vermont that has a budding music career in front of him. His success as an American artist who gained monster attention overseas before he did over here has given him a very unique sound which I’m completely hooked on. I have for you a release from his SoundCloud called Who Wants Spaghetti which is an almost Deadmau5 type beat which just keeps moving steadily toward a powerful grungy synth drop which is sure to get everyone wild. Expect many great things from the kid who shows absolutely no signs of slowing down!

There’s also a video below if you’d like to meet the kid who happens to be the same age as me and get his outlook on the business. Spoiler alert: kid’s got a good head on his shoulders.

As always,
Enjoy
