*Video*/Hip-Hop – Nas – Daughters

The accompanying video for Nas‘ heartfelt track “Daughters” serves as a fitting visual narrative of the veteran emcee’s detailed autobiographical ode to fatherhood. Captured from the viewpoint of Nas’ daughter Destiny, the video follows Nas’ daughter from birth, adolescence and the ever-turbulent and formative teenage years.

Watch the Chris Robinson directed video and mark your calendars for the release of Nas’ tenth album, Life Is Good due out July 17 via Def Jam.

Hip-Hop – Busta Rhymes – King Tut ft. Reek Da Villian and J-Doe (Prod. by Jahlil Beats)

Busta Rhymes is joined by fellow Conglomerate emcees J-Doe and Reek Da Villain on the new Jahlil Beats-produced single “King Tut.” The song is simplistic and only incorporates a select few samples and synths to mold the beat (including a kick ass Drop It Like It’s Hot -esque “cluck”). Peep the record below — this record was getting MAJOR airplay from Hot 97’s own Funkmaster Flex last night here in New York!

Hip-Hop – Nas – Black Girl Lost Pt. 2

A few days ago, Nas brought the second part to his classic “Black Girl Lost.” The follow up, “Another Black Girl Lost (Black Girl Lost Pt. 2)”, takes a completely different approach from the original. While Hip-Hop purist will be livid, the younger generation may actually take to this Hit-Boy produced version better.

Nas’s tenth album, Life Is Good, is due out later this year. Listen to and download “Another Black Girl Lost (Black Girl Lost Pt. 2)” below.
