Kennedy Jones – Came To Party [Out Now via Jeffree's]
No one’s better than the Diplo headed Mad Decent/Jeffree’s empire to spot give upcoming talent major releases right before their bubble is about to explode. With his remix of Suavemente taking over Ultra Music Festival this past year and just having recently broken 100,000 plays on YouTube, it seems fitting that he gets a huge release as the summer starts.
Kennedy Jones is killing it. Every DJ in the history of our planet is playing his trap remix of Elvis Crespo’s infamous “Suavemente.” This time around he ramps up the vibe of his music even more with “Came to Party,” bringing sheer madness to his sonic coliseum. In fact, it’s like a King Arthur jousting match on Mars with the coliseum full of strippers. We call it rodeo donk trap, just because. You can call it what you want.

ETC!ETC! & Brillz – New Jack Swoop
ETC!ETC! & Brillz making a glitch hop edit of their monster collaboration New Jack Swoop is the best thing to happen to my DJ sets in a hot minute. The original track is an unforgiving trapstyle BANGER (and I don’t use that word often) filled with bursting bubble synths and an epic appergiated breakdown; this remix takes everything that was aggressive about the original and replaces it with a heaping helping of funk. Infusing hip-hop vocals and drum tracks, I know for a fact that while the original was a dance floor destroyer at 140 BPM, I’m now entertaining the fact that this track may have been better at the cool cruising 100 BPM this edit rocks at.

Major Lazer – Watch Out For This (Bumaye) feat. Busy Signal, The Flexican & FS Green
1With the upcoming Major Lazer album pushed back from it’s already-delayed release date of February 26th to the dreaded indefinite date, the guys were nice enough to give out the first of three free mixtapes just last week. Today they put out the first sample of the album proving why they’re still king of the dancehall with this MOOOMBAHH jam. The Diplo fronted project is currently embarking on a world tour so we can only hope that the album gets finished on the road!

Zeds Dead – Hot Sauce EP Minimix
1Bass music. That is what Zeds Dead does. Blending their limitless library of unique tones with their influences of dubstep, hip-hop, trap and everything inbetween, they create some of the most amazing soundscapes I’ve ever heard. Their Hot Sauce EP is gonna be released on Mad Decent on 1/29 and this mix samples the five tracks that you will find on the release. Tracks like Mr. Sub are a surprising deviation from what you’d expect while Demons is about as nightmare inducing as you’d come to expect from the Canadian duo.

Three Loco – Bong Hits [Prod by Sinden and 5kinandbone5]
0Your Wednesday just got kicked up to a whole other level. The comedic supergroup of Andy Milonakis, Riff Raff and Dirt Nasty otherwise known as Three Loco made some waves today with the release of a track called Bong Hits. It also comes alongside an announcement from the guys that they will be releasing a 7 track EP on Diplo’s label Mad Decent with an EP teaser below. Check artwork and track listing after the jump; I think they changed We Are Farmers to We Are Llamas?

Diplo – About That Life ft. Jahan Lennon

Let’s be honest. Is there ANYTHING on this planet that Diplo puts his hands on that isn’t pure gold? Whether the guy’s perfecting the New Orleans bounce sound, making radio hits for Usher, or crafting the beat for Look At Me Now with Afrojack (betcha didn’t know he produced THAT ONE TOO), Thomas Wesley Pentz just has a legitimate Midas touch. This chilled out indie track is just amazing and available fo’ free courtesy of Mad Decent. Swivel.

Three Loco- We Are Farmers feat. Diplo [Prod by Derek DJA Allen]

As only Mad Decent could do, allow me to introduce you to Three Loco. As quoted from their SoundCloud, “Three Loco is the holy trinity of hip hop. Andy Milonakis from NY, RiFF RaFF from Texas, and Dirt Nasty from the Bay Area joined forces in 2012 while all living in Los Angeles.” Yes you read that right. Andy Milonakis is now rapping. And Diplo decided to jump on for his own rap debut. I’m not sure what else there is to say on this one besides that this is the most ridiculous beat I’ve ever heard in my life. Listen at your own risk.

Usher – Climax (Paper Diamond Remix)
1
The original production from Diplo on Usher’s single Climax was nothing short of haunting. The remix from new Mad Decent signee Paper Diamond is just purely groovy gold. Keeping the general mellow mood of the original, the Colorado based producer twists in Ushers ghostly vocals around synth blips and a playful drum track for a great overall remix. Grab the download courtesy of his SoundCloud and take a look at their Facebook page to stay up to date on all his latest happenings!
