Logic – Welcome To Forever (Full Mixtape)
I couldn’t exaggerate how much clout every release from Logic caries in the changing music industry. Having just been signed to Def Jam Records, the kid’s been on a tear as of late and this full mixtape (supported by a HUGE tour) features some huge names such as Trinidad James, Kid Ink and TNJ favorite Jon Bellion.

Jon Bellion- Translations Through Speakers
2I’m gonna start this one by saying I couldn’t be more proud of Jon Bellion. I’ve been following Jon from the time he was grinding away on Long Island way before he knew Visionary Music Group and ThisSongIsSick.com premieres were awaiting him. The talent that this kid possesses is mindblowing; he wrote, recorded and produced the ENTIRE project himself and his ability to artfully dip into 5 genres at the same time makes his sound refreshing and only furthers the point that his music should be heard by everyone within earshot. In addition to Paper Planes, LIFE, Dead Man Walking, The Wonder Years, the album contains 6 new tracks including a collaboration with Blaque Keyz called For The Dreamers which is my current favorite of the newest material. TNJ extends a huge congrats to Jon and the rest of the Visionary Team for putting out an unbelievable product and if you want proof that we were on this way early, check the artist spotlight we did for Jon on DAY ONE of this site’s existence.

Jon Bellion – The Making Of The Wonder Years (Behind The Scenes)
0I always look forward to writing about Jon Bellion. We gave you the debut of his brand new single The Wonder Years (which I’ve honestly had on repeat for the last 7 days) and just today we get the behind the scenes footage of Jon putting the track together courtesy of Visionary Music Group. VMG head honcho Chris Zarou certainly knows good talent when he sees it (his other artists include Logic and formerly Tayyib Ali) and having been a supporter since day one of the site, it’s amazing to see him get the credit he deserves. This three minute video really takes you into the mind of his production process and really lets you get to know what kind of guy he is; his energy is crazy infectious and it only takes one sample to get you hooked. We’re eagerly awaiting the release date for Translations Through Speakers but I wouldn’t be surprised if you started hearing this pop up on radio stations soon!

Jon Bellion – Dead Man Walking (Official Video)
0I really promise I’m not the guy that spends all of his time saying “I told you sooooo” but seriously WHAT did I say about Jon Bellion. It’s unbelievable that since the time we’ve started this blog Jon’s been picked up by Visionary Music Group, performed on stage at Binghamton when Logic made his stop here this past spring and is getting his stuff premiered at ThisSongIsSick.com. His free album Translations Through Speakers will be coming out shortly through the Visionary Team and we couldn’t be more excited! Get familiar with his LIFE and Paper Planes videos and check out his SoundCloud below if you wanna comb through some of his older stuff!

BroBible’s White Girl Wasted Weekend Power Hour #006
0Thank god for the weekend (which is beginning a day early as it should) because it’s been a damn long week people and what better way to welcome in the light at the end of the tunnel than with another installment of the White Girl Wasted Weekend Power Hour. Get the brew and shot glasses so that we can all get a little weird; this hour of music is gonna get the place moving! This week’s must-have nods go to TNJ newcomers KAM Royal & Rob Lo, the monstrosity of a trap release from RL Grime remixing Satisfaction and Jon Bellion’s newest single LIFE.

©. Castro – Higher
0After already proving to be masterful at picking up and coming talent in Logic and Jon Bellion, Visionary Music Group’s next product ©. Castro already has a bright future as far as TNJ is concerned! His single Higher has the well crafted sound that #RattPack producers OB and 6ix have come to perfect and it should come as no surprise that the bars are just ridiculous. You know this crew is only on the way up and TNJ can’t wait to follow along as they continue the climb.

Jon Bellion – LIFE

I’m still in a state of shock the amount of success Jon Bellion is having. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not shocked as in surprised, just shocked that the statement is true that good comes to those that deserve it. I’ve followed Jon for well over a year now and the consistent passion he brings to his music day in and day out is unmatched by anyone I’ve ever met. This is the video for the next single off his upcoming project Translations Through Speakers to be released later this fall on Visionary Music Group, the same guys behind the careers of Logic & Tayyib Ali. After you see this video check out his lead single Paper Planes and the making of video we got along it to get a more intimate look at the man behind the mic.

Jon Bellion – The Making of Paper Planes (Behind The Scenes)

Having already given the formal introduction to Jon Bellion’s first single, Paper Planes, from his debut album Translations Through Speakers, allow me to give you an intimate look at the creative process. A camera follows Jon into the studio as he constructs the track, turning a bird call sample into a musical instrument, and displaying his overall undeniable musical talent. He even starts the video with a preview of a song he produced and wrote for upcoming artist Cody Simpson, which we’ll be sure to keep an eye on!

I know this is a strange concept but I’m actually gettin this one out to you guys on Sunday as promised. Big tracks from 30 Seconds to Mars, Tiesto, Army of the Pharaohs, Big Sean & Kanye West and a Jon Bellion CLASSIC.
Great song & great video from Jared Leto and the rest of 30 Seconds To Mars. I was never a dedicated listener of theirs but I can’t remember not liking anything by them that I heard.

One of my first ever introductions to EDM, this classic Tiesto track is the perfect mix between gritty electro and beautiful trance.

Drake – The Motto (Jon Bellion Cover) + TNJ Exclusive Interview
0
This is one of those 100% full circle blessings. On the first day of this site’s existence, I posted an artist spotlight for Jon Bellion, a kid with talent beyond measure that I met through one of my best friends from home. Five months later, Jon has released an unbelievable cover of The Motto through Visionary Music Group, the same guys who manage Logic and Tayyib Ali! We got a chance to chat with the Long Island native and ask him about his influences, his plans for the future, and his perfect overnight studio session. His debut album Translations Through Speakers is gonna be dropping at the top of the new year so get excited and enjoy!

TNJ: What was the inspiration for doing a real melodic cover of the motto?
JB: My sister said i couldnt do it! Lmao
TNJ: Haha thats absolutely awesome! I saw that it was put out on Visionary Music Group? How did you end up getting hooked up with those guys?
JB: Chris Zarou (head of Visionary) has been a friend of mine for a while… we recently just decided to move forward…. really excited about the future!
TNJ: Any chance we’re gonna see you hooking with their main man Logic?
JB: Hmmm guess they have to stay tuned! Haha
TNJ: From tracks like Handclaps and Autotune for Lovers to something like The Right Direction you cover a huge array of different sounds…where do you find yourself pulling most of your influences from?
JB: Who knows lol I’m the bastard step child of music haha I grew up listening to so much music because of the internet it really messed me up hahaha
TNJ: Alright, so you can do one overnight studio session with anyone dead or alive (producer/artist/whoever) who you goin in with?
JB: Hmmmm Kanye and Dean Martin! Pow!
TNJ: I like it! Alright last one; from what you can disclose to us mere mortals, what’s up next for you in terms of releases/shows/videos etc.?
JB: Translations Through Speakers is finished… were finishing up some videos and releasing! I’m really excited!
We thank Jon Bellion for taking time out to talk to us. We’re really pumped for him to finally be getting the recognition he deserves and can’t wait to bring you guys the singles from Translations Through Speakers leading up to the new year!
