The Grateful Dead – Casey Jones (The Golden Pony “Golden Classics” Remix)

There’s something about the thought of a DJ set that includes The Greatful Dead and a bunch of dancing Deadheads that makes me laugh. The Golden Pony got this one 100% right as usual with the sexy saxophone and vibes that would work perfectly at a Brooklyn rooftop dance party. Free download should be coming later this afternoon!

Benjamin Francis Leftwich Is Remixed by Manilla Killa

I’m gonna drill the name Benjamin Francis Leftwich into your heads until he’s everyone’s favorite indie artist. His gentle and folky voice is a timbre long lost in dance music and with producers such as Kygo and Thomas Jack flipping his originals into perfectly chilled jams, it should only be a matter of time before the original artist is next to explode. In the mean time, catch the summer time vibes with this remix of Benjamin Francis Leftwich’s song 1904 from the man Manilla Killa, 1/2 of the TNJ favorite Hotel Garuda!

WallflowerFood Wednesdays #001

This proves the point that anything you plan for rarely goes accordingly. I am proud to announce our partnership with our friends over at the indie-dance blog WallflowerFood for the weekly WallflowerFood Wednesday segment. Before you say anything, let me say it for you; I know. It’s Friday. Turns out traveling home from Binghamton and Turkey Day threw a wrench in my schedule and it just wasn’t in the cards to give this a proper post until today. Think of it as your Black Friday shopping playlist.

For those of you who haven’t seen the great work that these guys do, you really have to check it out. Their whole site is built on mood-based playlists such as “Upbeat Morning” and the “Tropichill” playlist and if you’re not sure what you’re looking for you can sort them by time of day, mood, energy level or type of party music. Each week we will be given a playlist of their top ten playlist updates of the week to keep you up to date with all of their latest doings. Enough of my yapping start clicking around, there’s a lot of good music to check out!

Goldroom – Fifteen ft. Chela (Oxford Remix)

Somewhere between Madeon & The Knocks lies this remix of blog friendly synth pop jam Fifteen by French producer Oxford. Bringing nothing but good summer vibes that sound like they could come straight out of a Corona commercial (seriously, watch the commercial on mute with this in the background) this song is a must have for any big summer night in the near future!
