A couple months ago, we introduced you to Alex Young, the 16-year old boy wonder who is taking the EDM world by storm. Little has changed since then, as he’s still cranking out massive tunes, like Mastermind, a track that he just released earlier today. To classify the song within a genre would be unfair, as it’s a product of what would happen if festival trap and house decided to have a baby. However, one thing is certain, and it is that you’ll definitely be hearing this track dropped at festivals all over the country, this summer. You can catch Alex Young at EDC Las Vegas, in June, and can expect to hear more from him, as we delve deeper into summer.
If you don’t know this by now, I am a huge fan of anything that is remotely in the realm of dubstep. Although as of late i’ve been trying to expand my horizons on the electronic music I listen to, and the artists I listen to. Below are bunch of tracks that once again encompass many genres of electronic music. Some of these are much more well known then others. Be sure to listen to them all, because it never hurts to try the widen the array of music that one listens to.
Inaugural blog for me, couldnt be happier to be a member of That New Jam #TNJ. Here is Inpetto a relatively unknown artist with big room progressive house sound and the track No More Serious Faces. The drops and high pitch builds are reminiscent of Avicii, I love it, it’ll soon be on repeat on all your iPods. Enjoy!!
Steve Aoki’sDim Mak Records have steadfastly established themselves as one of the most prominent group of artists on the EDM scene today. The label’s French foursome Dirtyphonics dropped their newest dubstep single DIRTY about two weeks ago, and since its release, I haven’t been able to stop listening. The single is a monster, with an entrancing buildup taking you into a signature Dirtyphonics drop full of big bass and catchy melodies.
If the original isn’t quite your style, don’t worry. Along with the single came four different takes, with remixes from names like 12th Planet and Metrik. 12th Planet’s remix is an example of why following the trap genre’s evolution has become so fun. Watching big names put their spin on trap leaves me anxious to hear where else this genre can go. Nicolas Malinowsky also puts out a wonderful trap remix that might hit closer to home for all of you out there who enjoy the ‘classic’ style of trap that we’ve come to know.
Metrik creates a wonderful Drum n Bass remix with enough twists and turns to keep you interested and engaged throughout the full 4:13. Darth & Vader contribute a wonderful electro-house remix, kicking up the pace from the original, but keeping the hard bass, ultimately making the remix a great banger with superb synth-work.
Make sure to give this track and the remixes a listen-through. If you enjoy it, grab the whole set on Beatport!
The 20 year old Deorro formerly known as “Ton!c” has been taking over the West Coast by storm. It seems every event I go to in Southern California I hear his Dutch vibes being played. He has been coming out with bangers left and right, like the song “Big Fat Feat. Turantula Man”, and “Love to Keyboard”. Make sure to keep an eye out for his new tracks, because he is serving them HOT!!!
I have officially drank the Madeon Kool-Aid. The SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD French DJ is absolutely BLOWING UP and he’s bringing back all of the glory day sounds of French house from the legends like Guetta and Daft Punk and with his funky disco-esque big room synths that just get you dancing. There’s no big drop, no monsterous bass in your face, no gimmicks; just beautiful music with funky guitar riffs and good vibes. We gave you his newest single Icarus a couple days ago and now I’ve gone digging through some older tracks and these are just euphoric. I’ve included his original track Shuriken and his remix to Deadmau5′s Raise Your Weapon. Both are an instant download for me so I strongly encourage you to enjoy these.
I have to clear something up really quick. Those of you who don’t see DJing as a form of musical art don’t know what’s really behind it. I’m throwing in as an educational bonus a video that Madeon put up on his YouTube channel of him messing around with his sampling pads. Its jaw dropping. Be sure to show his SoundCloud and Facebook pages some love and as always ENJOY!
So….have you guys heard that really cool song Level by some dude named Avicii? Well good news is the guy’s got more than one great song; he’s got close to a bagillion (real number). I’ve got two absolute BANGERS (I hate using that word but its the only one that seems to come to mind right now) to get you ready to go wild this weekend! The first track comes from Swedish producer/DJ Carl Glennfalk and is called Spectrum. I haven’t been able to find too much in the way of information about the guy but he’ll brings some real happy synth-driven Avicii-esque magic to your night so be sure to give this one a listen! Be sure to peep his SoundCloud here!

Those of you who find watching the Tomorrowland after video for the 15th time an enjoyable time (guilty) might recognize this song. Up and coming Belgian force Dimitri Vegas along with Like Mike and Regi put out the song Momentum which is a song you can really get up and dance to and will surely be a staple in DJs live sets for a while to come; I know I’ll surely be using it. This song would be put absolutely over the edge if given the vocal treatment and I’ll be sure to be on the lookout and bring it to you as soon as it comes out. Until then kick back, relax, and enjoy!
Btw be sure to buy this one on Beatport or through Mediafire or Hulkshare records!

In celebration of LINSANITY taking over the entire world day by day I had to put this bootleg up which cashes in on it as well. Apologies that that the title is a little more than a little wordy but all you need to take away from it is the name Ken Loi. Named Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2011 last year by Tiesto in DJ Mag, Ken Loi is a name you should actively listen for new releases from. Included is a track released this morning through his SoundCloud which is fittingly called is Linsanity Bootup as well as his bootleg of The Ting Ting’s “Hands” which launched his career after Tiesto included it in his live sets around the world.

It was bad enough that the Super Bowl Halftime had Madonna in it but now she’s trying a career comeback with a three album deal already inked with the first one MDNA set for release soon. Thankfully the lead single Give Me All Your Love was given the Laid Back Luke treatment and just a couple hours ago was let go through his SoundCloud. I’m absolutely loving the feel of this track its got some real heavy drops and strong synths to get your night going. I may be slightly skewed in my opinion because I’m going to see him April 15th in Syracuse (who’s coming with?) but regardless this track is a banger.
