MOXIE RAIA – BUFFALO BILL (LOUIS THE CHILD REMIX)

It’s so refreshing to see value being placed on songwriting again after this whole EDM thing put a lion’s share of the focus on sound design and production. While it’s awesome to listen to tracks that sound “SO SICK live!”, sometimes it’s nice to find good-ass music that you can vibe to walking down the street under a pair of headphones. For that reason, Chicago producers Louis The Child are some of my favorite right now and this latest remix resembles R&B more than EDM and is so perfectly underproduced in all the best ways. Utilizing a beautiful assortment of live instruments and the infectious Moxie Raia original vocal (which has even gotten the attention of the likes of Tiesto), Louis The Child have put together an absolute JAM.

Mutemath – In No Time (Pierce Fulton Remix)

Wow. I’m not sure there’s another producer that toes the line between what we consider to be EDM and what used to be called electronica quite like Pierce Fulton does. While still able to crank out A+ club tracks at will, he is never afraid to take that tempo down and make something a la The Postal Service like his two tracks he released randomly back in May. This particular remix has me rather awe-struck or possibly just speechless…neither are a bad thing anyway.
