For Ace Hood’s“Bugatti” remix, the We The Best rapper recruited Wiz Khalifa, T.I., Meek Mill, French Montana, 2 Chainz, Future, DJ Khaled & Birdman to help make the gold selling track a little hotter. Just when the original was starting to die out, Ace Hood gives you another reason to randomly blurt out “I woke up in a new Bugatti!” while doing your best Future impression.
Look out for Ace Hood’s We The Best release titled Trials & Tribulations due out July 16th.

French Montana enlists Rick Ross, Mavado, DJ Khaled & Wale to guest on the remix to “Freaks”, his single with Nicki Minaj. If you’re still mad at Ross you gotta get the fuck over it, because he’s not going anywhere. McDonald’s endorsement soon to come.

In the eyes of some, Ace Hood has made it. He is DJ Khaled’s protege, appeared on tracks with some of hip hop’s top figures, and has consistently churned out popular singles. Despite his success, the Florida MC displays his discontent and hunger for more with a new mixtape, titled Starvation 2. Listeners will notice that the album plays more like an album than a mixtape.
There are also whispers that he will drop a long awaited collaborative mixtape with Meek Mill, titled Same Dream. Time will only tell with that, but fans can see the artwork, stream, and download Ace Hood’s Starvation 2 below.
This week 50 Cent joked about French Montana and his music career, dubbing him the “new Ja Rule”. Yesterday, as more interview footage surfaces with 50 while he is on his full promo tip, he revealed that he knew French Montana for awhile, during his DVD days.
While talking to Big Boy on Power 106, 50 was asked what his relationship was like with French prior to his success, “I ran into him a few times, he was like a DVD dude. He would come and shoot DVD’s and stuff (as the camera person). You could tell he always wanted to be an artist, or be a part of being seen,” 50 said.
Fif goes on to reveal that during the period of time he was beefing with MMG boss Rick Ross, the Bad Boy rapper actually helped him by selling out DJ Khaled and giving him the tape of footage from Khaled’s mother’s house which he released in 2009. “When I got into it with Rick Ross and Khaled, I saw Khaled at the BET Awards when that happened, but I don’t actually remember seeing Ross, that sparked his interest or the things he said on his record to start. But I think that’s a part of hip hop, where a new artist attacks an established artist in order to generate the interest. That happened, I didn’t know who Rick Ross was, so I had to take a look. I do my homework, I find somebody who know somebody, that can give me some information, like who is. Frenchie, they got me the tape of his mother’s house, where his mom’s work at, the other cribs, the studios [Khaled's tape]. I ain’t taking no L’s”.
Watch the interview with Fif below. As well in the second video 50 talks on addressing Game on “My Life”, and says he has “no malice” for the rapper, although he thinks his career is done.

Here’s the second of the night. Among the latest, of three newly released tracks, is arguably the most anticipated of all the song on the album: “They Ready” featuring J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T. and Kendrick Lamar. Like “Hip Hop” before it, “They Ready” is another strong offering, and never falls short of lyrical ferocity. From Cole, who also produced the record, to K.R.I.T. to Lamar, everybody came to win.

With “Kiss The Ring” right on the horizon, Funkmaster Flex (like usual) got the go-ahead to premier three new tracks off the album. Throughout the next hour we will release two of the three in anticipation for the full album stream by tomorrow morning. Both have tags for now, but will be updated as the CDQ versions come out. This record embodies all that has been the “2012 hip hop scene”, so take it for what it is. If nothing else, it’s quite impressive to see how consistently DJ Khaled is able to secure features for his records. Enjoy!

This is an absolutely monstrous record from DJ Khaled. I held off putting up the version with Funk Master Flex’s unbelievably annoying tags all over it. Scarface and Nas put down absolutely classic-caliber verses surrounding their woman (hip-hop) although Nasir Jones is just absolutely out of his mind right now with the quality of his tracks. The production from J.U.S.T.C.E. League is second to none on big live instrumentation tracks (see Maybach Music Pt. 2) and provides the perfect soundscape for these two veteran MC’s to go to work. By the way, props to DJ Premier stickin to the turntables in 2012 and doing what’s gotten him to the top of the hip-hop music world.

DJ Khaled recruits Kanye West and Rick Ross for this new single off “Kiss The Ring”. The joint features real “tough” production by Hit-Boy. “Kiss The Ring” is due out August 21st (the record is building anticipation as we speak). Hot 97′s Funkmaster Flex premiered the record at the beginning of his evening radio spot here in New York not too long ago. Kanye revisits his “Put On” persona, don’t you think?! Enjoy!

So here, ladies and gentlemen, is a recording session that everyone but Vanilla Ice could make. Although we’re not 100% sure where this track is going to end up, we do know it’s a Fat Joe track that is definitely a good look for him. Turns out Kanye West, Miguel, Jadakiss, Mos Def, DJ Khaled, Roscoe Dash, and Busta Rhymes are all on the intro, hook, and outro — AND the track is produced by the LEGENDARY Bink! Not too sure how Fat Joe got a hold of such a beat, but nonetheless peep the track below and enjoy!
