The BEC Jam Jar: Week 50 of 2014

The BEC absolutely kills it.  Just a bunch of kids from Binghamton University and the surrounding area on Facebook sharing good vibes and good music all day erryday.  So much music gets posted in there and it’s easy for gems to get lost in there.  We’re gonna do a weekly wrapup of all the tracks to be posted in the Binghamton Electro Collective the previous week so that you don’t miss out on that new JAM!

The people of the Binghamton Electro Collective have provided 30 jams for you to get down to this weekend including tracks from Knife Party’s recently released album Abandon Ship, a RiFF RAFF x SNOOP DOGG collaboration, a brand new remixes of COCO from the Jersey Club King himself Trippy Turtle as well as a fully trapped out edit from Styles & Complete.  Our playlist goes one deeper with new tracks from one of my favorite up and coming producers JAUZ releasing a single alongside Borgore titled Lindsey Lohan and a remix of Warren G from Destructo and Wax Motif which personifies exactly what this G-House movement is about.  We got an ODESZA remix of Pretty Lights and a brand new single from TNJ favorite GRiZ!

AWOLNATION – Sail (Borgore Pop The Sweating I’m Sailing Remix)

AWOLNATION - Sail (Borgore Pop The Sweating I'm Sailing Remix)

Borgore is kind of a mystery to me. On first listen, I thought this guy was just some bro-step dub-womping guy at a computer who thought it would be funny to remix Smell Yo Dick and has a mostly NSFW Twitter feed that any red-blooded man would be STUPID not to follow. Well turns out there’s much more to this guy than I thought; he’s got his own successful label imprint called Buygore records with a huge following and is a classically trained pianist that recently teamed up with Carnage to release a house track…the more ya know? I’ve been hearing the AWOLNATION track Sail everywhere as of late and was skeptical at best to hear what Borgore did with it; after a full listen, I’ve gotta say I’m fully impressed.

Borgore and Carnage – Incredible (Heroes x Villains Remix) [Preview]

Borgore and Carnage’s recent transition into speaker-rocking big bass house music has been received well by the community. And like all huge hits- it was only a matter of time before it was trap’d out. Genre pioneers Heroes X Villains use the big building sounds of Incredible to bring down the house. This isn’t your everyday ‘throw some 808’s on it’ remix. Listen here for the preview of this huge track

Carnage & Borgore – Incredible (Preview)

Carnage & Borgore - Incredible

The heavy dubstep styles of Borgore and trap styles of Carnage teaming up again for this new house song titled Incredible. Yes, you read that correctly. House and Borgore in the same sentence. I can tell you one thing…the title fits. It’s the only way to describe a song made by these two. Starting off with a strong baseline and great beat – this song looks to have the making of something you’ll be chanting for when you are at any concert. Only a short 1:30 preview at this point that leaves you begging to hear the drop. Be sure to check it out when the full version is released on Spinnin’ Records February 4th.

Waka Flocka Flame – Rooster In My Rari (Borgore Remix)

I’ve never been a huge fan of Waka Flocka’s music, due to the constant ignorance and shallowness, but I’ve come to respect it as I’ve realized, “Hey, I like anything that’ll hype me up.” Then I stumbled upon this, first hearing it in Borgore’s set at this year’s EDC in Vegas. The first minute or so is essentially the original, with the typical sporadic hi-hat hits and 808 kicks. However, seemingly out of nowhere, Borgore switches it up and delivers a devastating drop that blew me away the first time I heard it. I suppose the only bad thing about this song is enduring Waka’s verses, but hey, when you’re at a party/EDM fest/club, you’re not gunna care anyway! Enjoy this soul-crushing jam and grab the download!
