Disclosure – You & Me ft. Eliza Doolittle (Baauer Remix)
Enough of the disco/funk vibes, all this Daft Punk noise is gonna break the internet sooner or later so let’s get back to the bass for a minute. No one has been having a year quite like Baauer and with a newly found stardom comes huge expectations; this remix of Disclosure couldn’t fall short of even the highest standards. As with all great songs, I can’t seem to find a category suitable for this with big time drumwork layered over the tantalizing vocals and the garage synths that just take you over.

Kennedy Jones – Came To Party [Out Now via Jeffree's]
No one’s better than the Diplo headed Mad Decent/Jeffree’s empire to spot give upcoming talent major releases right before their bubble is about to explode. With his remix of Suavemente taking over Ultra Music Festival this past year and just having recently broken 100,000 plays on YouTube, it seems fitting that he gets a huge release as the summer starts.
Kennedy Jones is killing it. Every DJ in the history of our planet is playing his trap remix of Elvis Crespo’s infamous “Suavemente.” This time around he ramps up the vibe of his music even more with “Came to Party,” bringing sheer madness to his sonic coliseum. In fact, it’s like a King Arthur jousting match on Mars with the coliseum full of strippers. We call it rodeo donk trap, just because. You can call it what you want.

Knife Party – LRAD (Candyland’s OG Remix)
This is yet another of those songs from Candyland that has me scratching my head at what category to put it under. At 128 BPM and a remix of a Knife Party it should be electro house but that drop is damn disgusting and has all of the swagger of a straight up trap record. Regardless this track got support from Knife Party themselves and if you haven’t checked out the original and rest of the Haunted House EP check that out right here!

Luminox – Tantrum (Original Mix)
You guys know the drill. Luminox brings nothing but the best when it comes to his releases and one of the best parts is that he knows exactly what he’s looking to accomplish with his songs. Big, menacing and all sorts of trappy, Luminox lets you think you have it figured out by the end of the first breakdown before he introduces a creepy circus-like melody that goes OFF once the second drop rolls around. Free download from the man because you know he’s gives the tunes away for the fans and drop everything you’re doing if you get a chance to see him this summer. From what I heard, the man murdered Webster Hall a couple weeks ago when he came through with Alvin Risk

Gent & Jawns – Diplo & Friends Mix
It’s not that I didn’t believe Willy Joy when he told us in our exclusive interview to look out for Gent & Jawns. We’ve been following the DC duo’s climb since their monster remix of Diplo’s track Express Yourself but this mix just about sums up everything I’m about right now. Lots of moombah, a lot of the tracks have some sort of vocal, they found a way to weave in some trap and kept the energy high the whole time. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I knew/wanted almost 95% of the tracks on here and the way that they’ve perfectly strung them together for this Diplo & Friends set puts them at the top of my list of most wanted to see.

CAZZETTE vs Baauer – Harlem Shake (CAZZETTE’s Ultra Bootleg)
I can only imagine what this could have possibly sounded like blasting over the monster Ultra Music Festival sound system. Now I know everyone has had their fill of Harlem Shake remixes but in all seriousness when CAZZETTE decides to give Baauer’s hit track a remix, you know you’re only getting the best. Ash Pournouri has struck gold twice with the At Night Management tag team of CAZZETTE and Avicii and it seems they’re doin so well that they can give this one out for FREE! Definitely not complaining.

Ketchup Post – LUZCID
LUZCID is the collaborative musical duo of Neil Berry and Jonathan Bartz. Currently based out of New Paltz, NY, the pair, in my opinion, should be commended for their ability to blend a multitude of genres and styles, while still creating a unique and tasteful sound. Their Shot Caller LP, which was just released earlier today, is a prime example of exactly that. Consisting of 5 original tracks and 2 remixes, it is a satisfying mix of diverse trapstyle tunes, that are guaranteed to have your bass kicking, and your feet moving. We may only be 4 months into 2013, but the duo has already opened for artists such as gLAdiator, Alvin Risk, and DJ Sliink, and is scheduled to play at the Bella Terra Music Festival, Forest Fest, and the Freedom of Expression Music Festival. With that said, look for 2013 to be a huge year for LUZCID! And be sure to cop their new Shot Caller LP!

Basement Jaxx – Where’s Your Head At (Team Bayside High & Willy Joy Bootleg)
There are certain tracks that you just know will be good before you hit the play button; TNJ favorite Willy Joy teaming up with Team Bayside High to remix Where’s Your Head At is certainly deserving of that distinction. There’s no disappointment to be had and the pairing busts out with a crunchy bass infused trapstyle trunk-rattler that is sure to get every room jumping that it’s played in.

Afrojack & Steve Aoki – No Beef ft. Miss Palmer (Scott Dro Trap Bootleg)
There’s a ton of stuff to post over the next couple days so I’m gonna start off with a freebie courtesy of Steve Aoki’s SoundCloud from producer Scott Dro. He gives the classic No Beef collab with Afrojack from Aoki’s Wonderland album a nice trap refix that will work great in my sets…just figured I’d pass on the love.

Rugrats Theme Song – SAY MY NAME’s Festival Lasers Trap Remix
I don’t think I’m alone when I say Rugrats was one one my favorite shows, growing up. Hell, I even still watch it on occasion. With that said, when I came across SAY MY NAME‘s Festival Lasers Trap Remix of the Rugrats Theme Song I was ecstatic. I never thought I’d hear a childhood anthem work so well with the combination of a heavy bass, fast, trappy hi-hats, and a bubbly synth. While he may currently be a smaller, lesser-known producer in the trap scene, SAY MY NAME will be a household name sooner than you think, if he keeps releasing bangers like this!
Enjoy this nostalgic jam, and check out SAY MY NAME on: Facebook | Soundcloud | Twitter
