It’s not that I didn’t believe Willy Joy when he told us in our exclusive interview to look out for Gent & Jawns. We’ve been following the DC duo’s climb since their monster remix of Diplo’s track Express Yourself but this mix just about sums up everything I’m about right now. Lots of moombah, a lot of the tracks have some sort of vocal, they found a way to weave in some trap and kept the energy high the whole time. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I knew/wanted almost 95% of the tracks on here and the way that they’ve perfectly strung them together for this Diplo & Friends set puts them at the top of my list of most wanted to see.

There are few things better to me personally than a mix that toes the line between beautiful and brutal in the way that only Adventure Club seems to be able to do. They have started up their Superheroes Anyonymous mix series to follow the mix that the Canadian duo did for Life In Color. The mix ranges from dubstep to electro to trap and everything in between and is of course mixed to absolute perfection.

BroBible’s White Girl Wasted Minimix
So after weeks and weeks of me having one problem or another with getting my sound to work, Christmas came early and ya boy got an overhaul and some fancy new digs. That said, I figured I’d celebrate with a fresh minimix that I literally just put together in the past half hour. I threw in some awesome new tracks like the Dillon Francis remix of Carried Away, the Diplo & GTA collaboration Boy Oh Boy & an old Porter Robinson mashup which I could literally listen to all day. I manged to squeeze 18 tracks into 35 minutes with a lot of variety Enjoy!

I always look forward to our monthly dose of FOOOOLS GOOOOOLD spun to perfection from mixing maestro A-Trak. As someone who really likes to sit down and listen to the “art” of DJing (at the risk of sounding slightly pretentious), there’s nothing better than being able to listen to how a 5-time DMC champion chooses to put together a set. It’s generally common that I will go through an entire hour without knowing a single song beforehand and it seems to be the case again and I don’t mind a bit. Eclectic track selection meets flawless mixing to make 60 minutes of easy listening and there’s even a world premiere of the Jack Beats remix of A-Trak’s collab with GTA called Landline!

This is the TNJ official Ultra Music Festival 2013 Weekend One recap post. While we couldn’t wait another second to give you the Porter Robinson set at sunset, we decided to hold off until the end of the weekend to give you guys the full roundup of the best sets from the first weekend of UMF. There was no shortage of greatness from TNJ favorites such as The M Machine, Flosstradamus and Major Lazer and don’t forget that Hardwell set that put Ultra Music Festival as a worldwide trend on Twitter.
