Listen to the Rumble EP from Dim Mak’s New Artist Garmiani

Listen to the Rumble EP from Dim Mak's New Artist Garmiani

My ear has gradually moved away from real “club-type” tracks due to the fact that 95% of the music coming out pretty much sounded the same. However, SoundCloud occasionally does a great job with that on shuffle feature and I end up loving a song I never even looked at. Call it dumb luck but this Rumble EP from Garmiani, his debut on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mac Records, has a real fresh sound and a ton of energy as you’d expect from a DMR release. Whatever synth he’s got during the breakdown of the title track (and vocal mix) is a winner and the other track Dance Motherfucker is meant for only the biggest of festival speakers. And that sax is perfect…almost as good as the sexy sax man.

Dj Snake vs Junior Senior – Move Your Feet (Parisian Vision)

Dj Snake vs Junior Senior - Move Your Feet (Parisian Vision)

I think I’ve definitely found a top producer that I’m looking forward to watching. Dj Snake of recent “Bird Machine” fame has seen his stock flying through the roof with support from guys like Dillon Francis & Diplo and it comes with good reason. The guy is pushing the bar sonically…if you listen to the second drop I’ll guarantee you a huge treat!

Dj Snake – Birthday Song (Parisian Vision)

Dj Snake - Birthday Song (Parisian Vision)

I’ll be the first to admit that I slept big time on Dj Snake and the Bird Machine craze so much to the point where I don’t even have a post for you guys (check it on SoundCloud right here though). This marks yet another win for Mad Decent getting behind this Parisian talent early and just today he’s released his own edit of 2 Chainz’ Birthday Song that has been supported by the likes of Tiesto, Dillon Francis, A-Trak, Diplo & more…yeah it’s that good. This is an perfectly crafted, club-directed dance floor destroyer that employs the same open soundscape as recent hits like Sandro Silva & Quintino’s anthem Epic.

Dzeko & Torres – 2012 in 10 Minutes

dzeko torres 2012 in 10 minutes

In the obligatory “End Of 2012″ mix, I decided to go with this 10 minute gem from Dzeko & Torres that combines 40 of the biggest tracks together in 10 minutes. With 40 tracks its hard to leave any out but after giving this one a serious once-over, I can safely say that these guys barely missed a single one.

Here it is! Our look back at what we feel were some of our favourite songs of the year. All in 10 minutes. We do realize that some were originally released in 2011, but we feel as if they still had a huge impact in 2012. These are all Big Room EDM tracks that we loved to play out live, and not necessarily a representation of the biggest EDM tracks of the year. There were countless other massive tracks, but these are our choices :)

Miike Snow – Animal (Synchronice Big Room Remix)

Damn TNJ loves the Saulsky brothers. Synchronice reached the impressive milestone of 10,000 Facebook fans and it looks like these guys are about to blow UP. Shows in London while James is studying abroad, trap remixes out on Interscope for names like Far East Movement and believe us when we say this is the tip of the iceberg. We’ve been on board with them since Day 1 of TNJ and we can’t wait to see where they’re headed. As a thank you for the 10k, they released this big room progressive remix of Miike Snow and having already released a glitch-hop track earlier this week, it makes you wonder is there anything these guys can’t do?

Madeon – The City (M Machine Remix)

m machine

To add on to the list of big tracks we’ve posted here today, we got a new remix by The M Machine. Since the day I heard their breakout track Trafalgar last year, I’ve been keeping up on just about everything these guys do. Their remix of Madeon’s track The City is everything I could’ve hoped for. The original track is still distinctively apparent, but remixed with enough finesse to capture both The M Machine’s AND Madeon’s style. So hyped to post this, even more hyped to have it in my library, hopefully that goes for you as well!

Deniz Koyu vs The Naked & Famous – Young Bong (Ken Loi Mashup)

This is the best surprise I’ve had thus far today. Ken Loi and his bootups were a huge introduction for me into the EDM world and I couldn’t be happier to find this one up for free download today. Mashing up Deniz Koyu’s huge club room with The Naked & Famous’ widely acclaimed hit Young Blood is a genius combo and it works perfectly.
